Planning Mess Night for ADAG's 9th Aniversay

Was in Malacca, a 1 hour's drive from Gemas' Syed Sirajudddin Camp.
Recce Renaissance Melaka Hotel, i still remembered it as Ramada Hotel back when i was hunting for video arcade centres and Stardust disco.


The Bunga Raya Ballroom. Enough space for a 300 pax viking style dinner set-up. Managed to get only one complimentary Jr Suite room for Dato'. Meaning i have to pay for my own room la, aiya. Or find a girl which is living on her own in malacca town. Hmmmm... ice cool, can introduce ka? :-)


This is where my reception & registration table is going to be. Dato' asked us to produce a automated reception whereby the guest can just type in their names and it would automatically register them, ask them for their latest contact details if they were retirees, then their seats on the seating plan which is projected on a screen would blink to show them their seat locations. WTF? our dato's nowadays are too manja, who the fuck does he think we are? computer nerds? We are suppose to be fighthing wars and killing singaporeans, instead his asking for crazy GUIs? Haa? Anyway the 2ic tasked that to my fellow BC, Capt Syaipul. Now he's gonna get an aneurysm also.

Oh yeah and can u see the reflection of a lady in blue baju kurung on the wall? That's Miss Camy Lim, from sales & marketing. She's friendly but firm. Difficult to get extra complimentary stuffs. Later before i finished, she gave me her skype ID so that we could chat n discuss about the functions reqmts in details. WTF? Either she's a good employee or the hotel is cutting down their phone bills. Hmmm i wonder.

Alot of headache work and more to do for this function. Its on the 8th of Nov, Deepavali day.
