Do you still remember Curt Cobain? One of Nirvana's album is entitled Incesticide, track no.15 is Aneurysm. I bought that album during form 5, most of its songs are nice actually. But i didn't really like aneurysm..... here's the lyrics... i never really understood it.

Been having a bad headache and eye ache for over 3 weeks now, Cheked my eyes, behind the eyes & eye sights turned out okay. Most probably stress... that's what some doctors and friends told me.

Yesterday i went to Pantai Medical Centre to scan my brain, it cost RM1100 in total including consultation & medications. Today around 1045H the neurosurgeon called me and told me that they saw something in my CT scan and that i should come in for further explanations.

I went at 1500H, saw the neurosurgeon at 1545H. He told me that he couldn't find anything that is causing my head & eye aches, but both the pre and post IV contrast scans in axial cross sections shows a 5mm enhancing lesion along the proximal right middle cerebral artery, which is suggestive of an Aneurysm. The doctor said that there is a high possibility that it is an aneurysm. He expected that i would react with shocked and in denial or depressed or the normal reaction like any other patients, but instead i was dissapointed in the fact that nothing is causing my headache and so it is most probably a result of stress. The aneurysm doesn't causes headache. Hmmmmm, i'm stressed up?

He further explained that aneurysm is a silent killer, results in sudden death and that 1 out of 3 people, when the lesion finally bursts, do not survive or make get medical attention on time. He suggests a further detailed scans to conform it, which is to perform either a Conventional 4 Vessel Cerebral Angiography or CT Angiography or MR Angiography, the earlier cost approximately RM4000 while the latter 2 costs RM1300.

i called up 95 HAT to find out whether the Armed Forces' Hospitals are capable or do they have to refer me to GH, which i was told that we are not capable, do not have a neuro surgeon and would normally refer to GH's waiting list.

So i decided to proceed with CT Angiography on tomorrow's afternoon. Damn.... my AIA life & medical Insurance are not in-force, i haven't been paying it for the past 2~3 years. I think that i'd better find a way to pay the areas and activate it.

Since the size of the lesion is 5mm, any strainous activities or drinking or drunk parties in HRC has a possibility of further enlarging the blood sack or even rupture it. Well i've always said that its not really easy or exciting to grow old and watch ur body organs drop dead one-by-one, but how much would i leave behind for my mum? MRTAs, HP ins, Insuran Kelompok, Tabung Kebajikan ATM? hehehehe not much la. Luckily i'm not married yet.

Anyway, wait till next week only then can know the result. Going dinner with mum & sis later at 2000H, i'm at starbucks, the Curve now.
